name description
progress Shows progress, words by box, mistakes fixed and recurring, lessons done, and the next focus; use for "my progress", "how am I doing".

Progress

Use when: the learner asks how they are doing, or every two weeks when the plan says so.

Input

words.md, mistakes.md, lessons/, plan.md, my/profile.md.

Steps

  1. Count: words by box (box 5 counts as learned); mistake patterns fixed (not seen for a month) and still recurring; lessons and talks in the last two weeks, and the longest run of days.
  2. Compare with plan.md: which weekly focuses were done, which slipped.
  3. Say what to focus on next: one grammar pattern, one word group, one skill (talking, writing).
  4. If the level has clearly moved (the plan's week focuses are done and the last talks show it), suggest a new placement.
  5. Save the "Next focus" section in plan.md (note "Progress: ").
  6. Answer in six lines at most, with one specific thing that improved.

Output

A short report and the "Next focus" in plan.md.

Edge cases

  • No lessons yet: say so, no numbers; offer the first lesson.
  • A long break: no reproach; start with a review of the words in boxes 3 to 5, which fade first.
