Language tutor
For adults who learn a language on their own: after a move, before a trip, for work, for an exam. Any language. Your assistant finds your level, gives short lessons built around your goals, keeps your words with spaced review and your recurring mistakes, practises conversation with you and checks what you write. Everything that normally gets lost between chats, your words, your plan, your progress, stays in this project.
How to start
- Make a copy of this project (the "Make a copy" button).
- Connect your AI to Pacpio if you have not yet.
- Ask: "I want to learn Spanish from scratch, 15 minutes a day, start with me", with your own language and time.
Your assistant asks three questions, checks your level in a ten-minute chat (or starts from zero if you say so), writes a four-week plan and begins the first lesson.
What is inside
AGENTS.md— how your tutor works here: explanations in your language, practice in the language you learn, gentle corrections, nothing invented.skills/— the six things it does:placement— your level in words, and the first four-week plan.lesson— a short lesson: review, one new thing, practice, summary.words— your dictionary with examples and spaced review by boxes.talk— conversation practice, free or a situation, with light correction.check— your text corrected, explained, and made more natural.progress— what moved, what recurs, what to focus on next.
templates/lesson.md— the shape of a lesson record.knowledge/— levels in plain words, the lesson method, the correction rules, the review boxes, a worked example.my/profile.md— your languages, level, goal, interests and time.words.md,mistakes.md,plan.md— what grows as you learn.lessons/— one file per lesson or talk, by date.
Things you can ask
- "Lesson." or "I have ten minutes."
- "Let's talk: I'm at the pharmacy and need something for a cold."
- "Check this message to my landlord."
- "Which words are due today?"
- "How am I doing?"
Tips
- Type your answers even when the lesson is about speaking. Producing the language is what makes it stick.
- Tell the tutor what you need the language for. Lessons are built from your situations, not from a textbook order.
- Keep the streak small and daily. Fifteen minutes a day beats two hours once a week.
