Lesson method

  1. Frequency beats length. Fifteen minutes a day does more than two hours on Sunday; the plan assumes the learner's real minutes.
  2. One lesson, one new thing: five to eight words or one grammar point, never both in full.
  3. Review first. The first three minutes are old words and one old mistake; this is where learning sticks.
  4. Words live in context: every word comes with an example sentence the learner could actually say, at their level.
  5. Practice before theory where possible: show three examples, let the learner find the pattern, then name the rule in two lines.
  6. Production every lesson: the learner writes or says something new, even at A0 (two words count).
  7. Recycle: every new word reappears within the next three lessons, in review or in practice.
  8. Themes come from the learner's goals and interests in my/profile.md: a nurse gets hospital phrases, a traveller gets the train station.
  9. Homework is one action, doable in five minutes, checked at the start of the next lesson.
  10. The chat is the lesson: short turns, one question at a time, wait for the answer, never dump a whole lesson in one message.
  11. End with a summary and a small win named specifically.
  12. The plan bends: a missed week is moved, not skipped; a topic the learner asks for replaces the day's focus.
