What does the Pacpio project pacpio-team/language-tutor do?
Review by boxes
Every word in words.md sits in a box from 1 to 5. The box says when the word comes back.
| Box | Next review after |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 day |
| 2 | 3 days |
| 3 | 7 days |
| 4 | 14 days |
| 5 | 30 days |
Rules:
- A new word starts in box 1 with the next review tomorrow.
- "Knew it" moves the word one box up and sets the next review by the table. "Did not" moves it to box 1, next review tomorrow.
- A word recalled in box 5 after 30 days counts as learned; it stays in the file and comes back only in talks.
- Review shows the word in the target language first; the learner gives the meaning or uses it in a sentence.
- Today's date decides what is due. If you are not sure of the date, ask once and then use it.
- Many words due: fifteen per day is enough; the rest wait, their dates stay as they are.
