# Home of a Project

Give a project a Home page with the numbers, lists and boards that matter, built from its tables. Your assistant sets it up, and you change it by asking.

## What a Home is

A Home is the first page of a project when you want to see where things stand at a glance. It can show a few numbers, a list of what is due this week, a board of deals by stage, or a calendar of next steps. It also offers ready requests you can copy into your chat, such as "Log a call with …".

Projects don't have a Home until you ask for one. Without it, the project page shows the Overview, as before.

## Set it up

Ask your assistant in plain words:

> Make a Home for my Pacpio project Freelance CRM: open deals, follow-ups due this week and a board of deals by stage.

Your assistant writes a file called `home.md` at the root of the project. If something in it doesn't work, Pacpio tells the assistant right away, so it can fix the file before you open the page. A project copied from the Library may already come with a Home.

## What a Home can show

A Home is made of blocks, up to 12 of them. Each block shows one thing:

| Block | What it shows |
|---|---|
| **Number** | One number with a short note under it, such as "Pipeline $42,800" or "21 deals". |
| **List** | A few rows, such as the follow-ups due this week, and how many there are in all. |
| **Table** | The rows of an answer as a grid, across the whole page. |
| **Board** | The rows of a table in columns by stage or status, with how many rows each column has. |
| **Calendar** | Rows by their date: earlier, today, the next 7 days and later. |
| **Ready requests** | Messages you can copy into your chat, such as "Do my weekly review". |

Numbers sit side by side in one row. Tables take the whole width, and the other blocks come in pairs. On a phone, the blocks go one under another, in the order of `home.md`.

The text of `home.md` under its list of blocks shows above the blocks, in one line. Click **More** to read all of it. It's a good place for a short note about the project.

## Where the numbers come from

Pacpio doesn't calculate anything on its own. Every number and list on a Home is the answer to a query your assistant saved in the project. The page shows which file each one comes from. Boards and calendars show the rows of your tables as they are, with how many rows fall into each column or day. Learn more in [Tables](https://pacpio.com/docs/guides/tables).

"Today" is your own day: Pacpio uses the time zone from your profile.

## Change it

The page is for looking. To change something, ask your assistant. Each block has a small chat icon. Click it to copy a request about that block, then paste it into your chat. For the whole page, click **Change this page**:

> Change the Home of my Pacpio project Freelance CRM: add a list of unpaid invoices.

If a block can't show its data, it says why in plain words. Click **Ask your AI to fix it** to copy a request with the reason.

Each change is a new version of `home.md`, so you can see it in the history and undo it like any other change. Learn more in [Versions & History](https://pacpio.com/docs/guides/versions-and-undo).

## Who can see it

Everyone who can open the project sees its Home. For a public project, that includes visitors who aren't signed in. The Overview, Tables and Files stay one click away on their own tabs.
